We are a certified organic fruit & vegetable farm in the Waddell Creek Valley in Northern Santa Cruz County. Our farmland is located at Rancho del Oso near the coastal portion of Big Basin Redwoods State Park - 2 miles north of Davenport, CA and about 1 mile inland from the Pacific Ocean.Tomatoes, Beans, Peas, Artichokes, Corn, Peppers, Lettuces, Chicories, Herbs, Zucchini, Hard Squash, Melons, Flowers (edible & decorative), Cucumbers, Eggplant and many others fill the row crop land throughout the year. During the cooler months we utilize cover crops to keep the soil in place, create habitat for beneficial insects and increase the land's overall fertility. The fruit tree orchard contains Hass Avocados, Apples (Rubinstar, Gala, Pippin, Gravenstein) , Plums (Santa Rosa, Mariposa, Satsuma), Pears (Comice, Red Bartlett, Green Bartlett), Red Haven Peaches, Blenheim Apricots, Meyer Lemons & Eureka Lemons. The fruit orchard on this site began in the mid 1990’s when Route 1 Farms first began to plant the trees. The orchard site faces south and overlooks the coastal flood plain of Waddell Creek. We deliver our produce to local grocery stores and restaurants mainly in the Santa Cruz area. Though our product does make it’s way to the SF Bay Area and beyond via wholesale distribution.
